Hi, we are Drashti and Niharika from Ahmedabad. Being an HL & Nirma alumni, I had big entrepreneurial ideas but little did I know the seed would be my family business itself.
Initially, it was the requirement of my subject ‘Family Entrepreneurship’ to understand my own family business so I started taking interest in our exhibitions, started visiting the office but before I realised I started enjoying the process—taking responsibilities & learning the skill of leadership secretly became exciting. My grades were low but learning was high.
With complete family support & zero jack in the market, in Dec 2019 I started ‘Ekatva’—an artisanal gold jewelry brand. A little boutique studio with quality designs & a purpose to offer just the best pieces. And here's how I like to describe it best—

The aim is to offer the customers an investment opportunity & not just luxury jewelry. With ‘Ekatva’ I wish to promote minimal gold jewelry & this concept of ‘desk to dinner jewelry’ was a unique one in Ahmedabad then.
On being asked my plan B, I always reply that if not gold jewelry, then silver but jewelry. Within a couple of years, I’ve built a clientele of 500+ loyal customers & I can't be grateful enough to my gut feeling for this.
I now have spanned in the areas of Rose gold jewelry, Diamond Jewelry & bridal Jewelry along with handling finances, quality, packaging, marketing & design for Ekatva. Running a one-woman show is tough but I'm totally enjoying the hard work infused with innovation. Love waking up as a thirsty worker every morning & getting back to the hustle!
